How this unit builds
THE strand milestone: three years of oral vocabulary becomes reading fluency and first authored stories — the foundation Grade 4 texts stand on.
What this unit will contain
Lessons are produced in the same fully interactive format as Kindergarten — flashcards with audio, games, listening tasks, and take-home activities — and will unlock here as they are finished.
Leemos juntos — shared reading
¿Qué pasó? — comprehension
Escribo un cuento — story writing
Lectura en voz alta — author’s chair
Cuentos and the oral tradition
Before books, stories traveled by voice — trickster tales, La Llorona told a hundred ways, abuelo stories. Students hear one folk tale and keep the tradition by retelling it.
