¡Hola, amigos!
Our youngest learners spend Kindergarten listening, singing, pointing, and speaking. There’s almost no required reading or writing yet — just big ears, silly songs, and lots of chances to say new words out loud.
By the end of Kindergarten, your child will be able to…
- Listening: recognize 60–80 common spoken words and simple classroom instructions
- Speaking: greet someone, say their name, and name colors, numbers 1–10, and familiar objects
- Culture: recognize that Spanish is spoken in many countries, with songs and games from several of them
- Confidence: feel comfortable repeating new sounds out loud, even when they’re not perfect yet

How to use this program
You don’t need to speak Spanish
Every lesson has plain-English directions for the adult, a written pronunciation guide next to every word, and an optional “listen” button that speaks the word aloud on devices that support it. You’re there to encourage, not to translate.
Suggested pacing
- 2 lessons/week: about one unit per month
- 3 lessons/week: a comfortable classroom pace
- Accelerated: daily 10-minute sessions for summer or intensive use
What you’ll need
Nothing to buy. A device to view lessons, paper and crayons for drawing activities, and about 15–20 minutes per lesson.
Supporting every learner
If it feels hard: repeat the flashcard step before the game — there’s no rush, and every activity can be replayed.
If it feels easy: try the “challenge” homework option and let your child teach the words to a sibling or stuffed animal.
