Mi Vida Diaria
My Daily Life
This year at a glance
Grade 3 is the bridge from words to sentences. Students describe their routines, homes, and hobbies in their own short sentences, read short familiar paragraphs, and write for the first time — 3 to 4 sentences about their own lives.
By the end of Grade 3, students can say:
- I can describe my daily routine in short sentences.
- I can read and understand a short paragraph about a familiar topic.
- I can write 3–4 sentences about myself.
Standards
Every unit is aligned to the ACTFL World-Readiness Standards (Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, Communities) with NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do statements as learning targets. See the full curriculum map.
8 units, one connected story
Units are being produced in order and will unlock here as they are finished — the same interactive lesson format as Kindergarten Unit 1.

For families & teachers
🏠 At home
Have your child narrate their bedtime routine in Spanish. Keep their Todo Sobre Mí book — it’s the first entry of a portfolio they’ll build through Grade 8.
🍎 In the classroom
First formal writing year: assess content, not accents. Heritage speakers: offer extended reading. IEP/504: sentence frames and word banks are built into every writing task.
